So it appears he is a gentleman of property, living on the High Street, maybe he had an office there with rooms above. He also had 2 servants so obviously a wealthy man.
He dies in 1869 but before that, he appears to have quite a few issues regarding land in Ireland, as can be seen on the IGI:-

I also came across this gravestone that mentions your Allan Gardner Brown who died in 1869, and also his daughter Mildred Elizabeth Brown who we saw on the 1851 census in Scotland, above, aged 10. Here is the link, it is the second gravestone down:-

Here is another link which has a lovely photo:-
It says:-
Lyons memorial, Knockbreda Cemetery, Belfast Large memorial to various members of the Lyons family. Mentioned is one John Brown (1750-1801), another prominent Belfast citizen in the latter half of the eighteenth century. He served as High Sheriff of County Antrim in 1783 and later became Sovereign of Belfast. He lived in Peter's Hill.

From this gravestone, we can see that Allan's father was a very important man and held the position of High Sheriff of County Down in 1783 and also later as Sovereign of Belfast. John Brown, who no doubts from that information, you will be able to find out more and highly likely find a portrait of him, so father of Allan was John Brown born 1750 in Petershill, Belfast, died November 1801. His wife was called Ann and she was born 1760 and died 18 January 1809. Allan had twin siblings, Margaret and Jane who died aged 14 and also a brother called Henry, born 1796 and died 5 March 1801. Also mentioned is Allan's daughter Mildred who was born 1841 and died 21 May 1880. I wonder why his other children were not mentioned?
There are lots of mentions of Allan Brown's father on the internet so know doubt you can go quite a way back on the family tree now.
If I can be of further assistance, please contact me but I think the above will give you a good start on the family tree of Allan Gardner now.
Best Wishes
Aunty Gene
