Michael Walsh Baptismal Record

Hello, I am looking for anyone who can direct me to a source where I could obtain the Baptismal record for my Great Grandfather, Michael Walsh, who was baptized in an RC Church in An Rinn Parish, County Waterford, Ireland. Michael was the son of Patrick Walsh and Mary Pole of Upper Helvick and was baptized in 1838. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated here in Newfoundland (Talamh An Eisc).

Try www.rootsireland.i.e, yo have to pay for the record but you can search the indexes free for the first 100 I think. Good luck

You may already have found the record you are looking for but let me offer this. So far as I know the Baptismal Records for county Waterford are solely available from the Waterford Heritage Center on Jenkins Lane in Waterford city. The originals of course are held by the Parish Priest but the priests are extremely busy and might not have the time to make a search for you. I have used the Heritage center twice with very good results. In my experience both times they gave me every scrap of information contained in the record about my family. A search will run you something over a 100 Euro. You can contact them.
