About Etzler-Warner Families from Germany to PA, MD and beyond
This site opens with Vernon Etzler and his 2nd wife, Ethel Irene (Warner), who lived in Frederick
Co, Maryland.
The Etzler/Etsler Family came from Germany (three brothers and a sister) and settled in
Pennsylvania, some filtering down into Frederick Co, Maryland before their descendants moved
to other states.
The Hans Adam Werner/Warner/Varner Family came from Germany and also settled in Pennsylvania
with some filtering into Frederick Co, Maryland, Cambria Co, Pennsylvania and others going to
Rowan Co, North Carolina before their descendants moved into other states. It is believed our
George Warner (b/ 1758) descended from this family; however, we are missing a valid link to his
father who I strongly suspect is the "missing" George, son of Hans Adam (our George married the
girl next door to Johannes Warner, believed to be a son of Hans Adam Warner).
Our Ethel Irene Warner, 2nd wife of Vernon Etzler, had great grandparents who both carried the
Warner surname. Trying to find the maternal Warner link has been most difficult. Any help in
solving these mysteries would be greatly appreciated.

This journal has been copied and pasted - I have been researching the " Warners " off and on now for over 2 weeks so you can well imagine the research , that has been done . many of the researches have finished up in the rubbish can as they had to many missing links . I have kept back a small part for future reference & given it to
" Old Faithfull " to file . Some may call this journal all sorts of type names . Forget them . This has been a long research . I have enjoyed doing some of this difficult task , small as it is in comparison to what I have recommended. I hope this will assist any member who is researching the "Warner's )
Till we meet again -Regards - edmondsallan
Thanks for recommending tribalpages.com ! I'll try it.
Again, Thank You ! Arlie
Have you done a DNA test on a male that descends directly from your Warner line? I am also related to Hans Adam Warner, through his son Christoffel "Stoffel" Warner/Werner from Silver Run, MD. I have tested my brother's DNA and have matched many related to Hans Adam Warner.
Dawn Warner Perry
I forgot to say that it is possible your George Warner was the son of Stoffel/Stophel Warner. Stoffel died in 1789.
