My BAKER line has a dead-end at a BENONI BAKER who married ABIGAIL ADA...

Journal by Scott_J

My BAKER line has a dead-end at a BENONI BAKER who married ABIGAIL ADAMS. Benoni was born in Orleans, MA in the early 1860's, not to be confused with the other very well documented Benoni Baker from the same timeframe.

Scott Jangro is the owner of FamilyTreeCircles.com and has documented roots back to Mayflower passengers Stephen Hopkins and William Brewster. If you're wondering what he's doing when he's mysteriously absent, here's some links to other stuff he's responsible for: about.me/jangro.

I am searching my Baker line also. The earliest Baker I have been able to find is Esquire Andrew Baker b 1692 in Lancaster, PA. S/o Robert [James] T Baker SR. & Susanna Packer.
In your search did you find these people?

Hi Maxine.

There are SOOOO many Bakers out there that it's tough to make any progress. Mine are all from MA and VT, I believe. I don't think my direct ancestors ever made it west at all, at least no that I've found.
