My mom was Marie G. Radtke from Newark N.J. her dad, my Grandfather, was actually good friends with Harry Houdini back in the day. My grandfather was a sheriff's officer in Newark and also help with the props for Harry Houdini.
Houdini who also was Hungarian, which is why I question my grandfather's heritage, was friends with my grandfather which makes me wonder if the Radtke's had a Hungarian connection. I'm interested in finding out more about my Radtke heritage.

I have looked for Charles, Augusta and Lizzie's arrival in the USA inc 1886 but can fin no entries. Perhaps someone else might have more luck.

noggin

I have found a reference that suggests Charle's parents were Charles Radtke (Radke) and Augusta Casilki. I can find no data to back this up. You could try looking for the Christenings of the children listed in the 1910 census above it might show the mothers maiden name. You could also look for their marriages which might also show their mothers maiden name. Some deaths also show both parents names.

You could try this site to search : https://familysearch.org/search
