My Mother was a Dargan and I Am Trying to Trace Her History She Didn T Talk About Her Parents Other Than There Being Twins IN the Family

Her mother was not married at the time of her birth, and her grandmother was also unwed at the time of birth. I found out that her great grandparents were Lawrence Hayley Dargan and Susan O'Brien. I am looking for any information about them to take my next step back into history.

New South Wales, Australia, Assisted Immigrant Passenger Lists, 1828-1896

VIEW IMAGE
VIEW RECORD
Name Lawrence Dargan
Birth Year abt 1852
Age 23
Arrival Date 15 Apr 1875
Vessel Name Jerusalem

on the image it states he had a brother patrick who was already living in Australia and that he was a Cooper and his mother was Mary and he lived in County Waterford in Ireland
if this is him I think that his parents were Patrick Joseph Dargan and Mary Makon/ Mackon/Machon

NSW is it nsw? What country does your mother live in? and what is her birth year, and death date if she's deceased.

I'm sorry not to have responded sooner but I have been busy. My mother lived in New South Wales, she was born in 1926 and died in 1981, all in Australia. I've just about given up trying to trace her roots as it has been too hard.

Hi my name is Susan and my Grandparents were Phoebe Shoveller ( Nee Dargan) and Thomas Shoveller, not sure if I am connected to your family, but all the dots seem to be connected. My Grandmothers father was Lawrence Dargan and her mother was Susan O'Brien from Michelago NSW
