First let me first of all take this time to try to tell you what this tract is about. Well this is a study tract that I believe this tract can help us all. Because we all need to study Gods word. We must go to the word of God. Acts 5th. Chapter 1st. verse But a certain man named An-a-ni-as. With Sap-phi-ra his wife' sold a possession. Take a good look at possession might need to mark this in your bible. 2nd. verse And kept back part of the price' his wife also being privy to it and brought a certain part' and laid it at the apostles feet. Listen to me friend you can lie to me or others but it sure does not pay to listen to the Devil or Satan. The Devil is full of lies you sure can't believe the Devil for he is the father of lies. 3rd' verse But Peter said' An-a-ni-as why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost and to keep back part of the price of the land. Peter let An-a-ni-as know you are not telling a lie to me but you have just lied to the Holy Ghost. It is a very bad thing to lie to God as you can see as we get into this study. Shall we look in the 4th verse and see what else that Peter is saying. 4th' verse' Whiles it remained' was it not thine own/ and after it was sold was it not in thine own power/ Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart/ thou hast not lied unto men' but unto God. Now listen to this old preacher man I'm trying to point out that this land was their land. Having this land did not get them in trouble but the lie did. No they did not have to give God anything. Going to verse 5 And An-a-ni-as hearing these words fell down and gave up the ghost; and great fear came on all them that heard these things. Peter still preaching to An-a-ni-as when he fell out and he gave up the ghost. Lets see what takes place next as we go to verse 6. And the young men arose wound him up' and carried him out and buried him. Some people who read this may say Bro' O'Shields God don't do that today. So why write this/ well I write this because God is God. We need to understand that God is still the same God now as He was back then. We need to know and understand that God does not change He is the same today as yesterday. There are some people who have died at a very young age because of sin. I have known some young people who died at an early age because of sin. I'm in no way saying that the reason that a young person dies that it because of sin. No my friend not at all but I have listen to preacher after preacher who have told about young people that would just die. And there have been young people that have made fun of the Holy Ghost that just died. But we need to get back to the word of God. Verse 7' And it was about the space of three hours after when his wife not knowing what was done came in. 8' verse And Peter answered unto her. Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much/ And she said yea for so much. Boy oh boy how sad his wife tells same lie as her husband. 9' verse' Then Peter said unto her. How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord/ behold the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door and shall carry thee out. Verse 10' Then fell she down straight-Way at his feet and yielded up the ghost; and the young men came in and found her dead and carrying her forth buried her by her husband. Verse' 11' And great fear came upon all the church' and upon as many as heard these things. I can tell you this the old Devil is working night and day with all his lies. The Devil wants as many as he can deceive this is his goal. Live for Jesus Christ today and everyday. Let Jesus be the Lord of your life right now. If you are not saved ask Him to save you. Ask Him to forgive you of all your sins He will. Accept Jesus in your heart right now may God Help you to do this. My prayer is that you will. I love you with a Christian love and Jesus does to.
