Notes from "A Boy From Bendigo - The Life of Robert Keith Nankervis "
After his marriage to Elizabeth and with their two sons William and Thomas the couple lived on at the Diggora farm until December 1896, when Thomas senior was fatally injured in an accident with a team of horses in one of his own paddocks. Lingering through several days of century heat, he died on December 27th and was buried in Elmore cemetery in the same grave as his infant daughter. His mother, originally Jane Grylls, had died some years previously and was interred in the Rochester cemetery.
