Spent time on Hulks Justitia and Hardy before transportation to NSW. Absconded many times from his Master, John Murchison and was in Melbourne in 1840. Married Margaret Fitzgerald in St Francis cathedral, Melbourne in 1853. Had TOL for Kyneton in 1845 . Jailed for Horse theft in 1856. Seems to have returned to Lancashire about 1860. May have been a Cobb&Co driver around Castlemaine.
