New Zealand Anderson, Murupara, Eastern Bay of Plenty, New Zealand tracing Anderson Genealogy

Kia ora,

My name is Thomas Wharau Anderson, son of Thomas Oliver John Punehuiterangi Anderson and Martha Pahemata Anderson nee Haunui. I have just recently began my journey to research my Anderson heritage from my Great Grandfather, Charles Richard Anderson.

I will update once I have findings.

Thank you

Kia Ora Thomas

I have only just found this website. My gg grandfather is CHARLES THOMAS ANDERSON? born 1860 in Aberdeen Scotland. He came to NZ with his 2/3 brothers and he married my gg grandmother NGAROAHIAHI RAIHA TAUAROA who was from Murupara. They had my g grandmother TE NGAROAHIAHI MEREANA ANDERSON and her brother Tame. Not sure if they had any other children?

We don't have much info on our ANDERSON side but I'm hoping you might be able to help?

Hope to hear from you.

Tena koe Sym,

Thanks for your message. It's good to hear your on a journey of discovery just like myself. By the sounds of things we both come off Koro Charles and Kuia Ngaroahiahi then branch offices to our respective whaanau. You being of Te Ngaroahiahi Mereana Anderson lineage and myself being of Tame Anderson. Koro Tame is buried at our Urupa in Murupara which is where our Anderson branch is based. We have my Dad's unveiling Easter Weekend -Saturday, (My dad, Thomas Punehuiterangi Anderson is one of Koro Tame's children) which you are most welcome to attend and meet our side if you like. Please email me on to communicate better if you like. Nice to hear from you Sym. Hopefully we can talk via email, messenger or Skype.
Nga Mihi. Wharau

Kia Ora, I'm interested in getting in touch with you. My G granparents are Te Ngaroahiahi and Haami Waiwai. Their son Tame Waiwai is my grandfather.
Upon researching I discovered my GG grandparents were Charles Anderson and Ngaroahiahi Tauaroa. I'm trying to find as much information as I can about Charles Anderson. It's fascinating :)
