Owen and Ian Thomas

I am researching an area in the Mallee in Victoria and have been asked to try to locate any information on a campsite on the edge of Lake Albacutya named O.T.I.T. It is supposed to be named after two members of the Thomas family Owen and Ian either brothers or father and son. They would have been living there sometime between 1870 and 1910 and would have been either shepherds or farmers although the land was mostly sandy desert so sheep is the most likely. Does anyone out there have ancestors with these names that were in the West of Victoria Australia during this period?
