James Pamment, son of Thomas and Mary(Palmer)Pamment, was born in Undley, Lakenheath,R.S.D., Suffolk, England on
the 21st of July 1889. He left England via the port of London on the ship "Ionic", arriving in New Zealand at the port of Wellington on the 29th of December 1910.
In 1915 he married Emily Edith Waller. daughter of James and Annie(Orr)Waller, in Te Aroha. He died on the 16th of July 1965.
James and Emily had 9 children, and after a time in the King Country the family settled in Katikati in the Bay of Plenty
