I am seeking the maiden surname of the Mother of a Philemon Best, born abt 1770 in St Stephens in Brannel, Cornwall to a Richard and Mary Best.

I am trying to find out the maiden surname of Mary Best, the Mother of Philemon Best.

Philemon Best married a Frances Varcoe in 1801.

Any information would be most welcome.

Try posting a message on Rootschat - FREE Genealogy Research at the Cornwall board to get somebody to do a parish registry lookup for you to find maiden surnames etc.
