Parore Louis Wellington 1888 1953
edmondsallan - Good morning . I wish to apologize to one and all for the Previous six ( 6 ) Journals on the " Edmonds " name . I copied & pasted them from the Website " Peck of Taita ".Any one can use this free web site, which has a huge amount of information on it . I thought that it would be alright as quite a few thousand journals have already been taken & rearranged from this website. I also apologize if I copied someone else's material in a journal .I can see THAT is quite easy to do when more than 26,000 journals have been printed . Not many read the older journals or look thro the names that are listed ,as their is so many . Most of us carry on with our own tasks. I might be wrong but I think that if one finds something from anywhere , you can rearrange it into a journal. I think that is acceptable . Copying & pasting is a No! No! I apologize to whom it may concern. We learn from our mistakes .
Ok --With that out of the way , we have more to tell. By the way , many Maori leaders mentioned are nearly all related to our extended family . One way or another .
" Louis Wellington Parore " was born at Te Houhanga Marae , Dargaville on the 26th Dec 1888. He was known to his family as " Te Ruma " ( the room)because he was the first of his people to be born in a 'European ' house . His father was " Pouaka Parore "from one of the leading families of the Ngapuhi- . His mother " Makerita Pirihi " ( Margurite Preece ) was from the ' Te Patuharakeke hapu of Whangarei .NZ. The name of ' Wellington ' was a name of one of her close relatives. His mother was bilingual and this son seem to be of high intellect and his mother started to guide him into a higher standard of education . Till we meet again - Regards -edmondsallan
