Parratt from Crew Cheshire

My dad is Leslie Norman Parratt (deceased), His Dad is Cyril Leslie Parratt. His mum is Ethel Rigby. Dad was there only child.
Dad was raised in Crew, Cheshire. I seem to hit a brick wall in going beyond Cyril. Does anyone have any information?
