note; Rody may have been an alternate name for Morgan which was sometimes used by the Irish
Janilye, thank you so much. I am definitely going to find somewhere where I can get instructions on how to find ancestry information. Your help is much appreciated.
Well, Kullaru, I've found it is all word of mouth. There are several members in here with the knowledge and experience of where to look, and if you come in here often enough you will pick up some tips. I always make sure I show members where I came across the information and I encourage others to quote their sources. It's so much more rewarding to do your own research; but unfortunately that doesn't happen if people won't tell you where to look
For Victoria, my favourite source, besides the Public Record Office is TROVE which is historic newspapers, photographs, etc.
Thank you. We are going to Ireland in a couple of weeks so this information is invaluable. It is my husbands family.
