Patrick Derig Born IN Ireland Came to Nz Date Late 1800s
Patrick Derig was my g/grandfather, his wife(Margaret Enright) married in Napier N.Z. Birth place for both Ireland. My grandfather (Robert Derig) had 3 brothers, Jack, Joe and Patrick, and a sister Kate.
I think I am your cousin as Kate was my grandmother. My father was her youngest son, Brian.

I've been researching my husband's Derig family - Patrick Derig was his g/grandfather, his grandmother was Kate. It's a long time since you posted your request to Family Tree Circles so you may already have the info you need but I am happy to share any information I have.

My grandfather was Robert Derig his mother's maiden name was Frost. His mother married Thomas Enright and then later Patrick Derig.

Hi Christine, thanks for your reply and apologies for a late response.
My husband's name is Clem Cook. His grandmother Kate married Constantine Marquis (or Merkous) and they had 4 children, Joan (Clem's mother), Constantine, Elaine & Brian. Kate also had a child some years before she married Constantine.
Simon is Clem's cousin; he is Brian's son.

If you would like any information or some photos which I have of: Kate's brothers, taken at Napier and one of Kate with my grandfather (Robert Derig, and their brother Jack Derig) also a group photo of the Derig's, Marquis's and other family members which was taken at a wedding, I can send you a copy via email.
Jean was the name of Kate's first child my mother Mavis Clarke,(nee Derig) with her brothers and sisters; Bill, Patricia, Bob and Joyce were their first cousins.
