John George Pilcher (1829-1895) married Ellen Peck (1844-1906) on 11 June 1862 in Lower Hutt

  • John was a son of Stephen Pilcher (1794-1865) & Ann McPharlane (1790-1834) from Wychling, Kent

(his father Stephen remarried in Wellington in 1844 to Bennett Mather HOOK 1809-1865. They were both widowed and met on the voyage to NZ on the 'Coromanel' which arrived in Aug 1840)

  • Ellen was a daughter of Daniel Peck & Elizabeth Gaskin from Maidstone, Kent

Hi, I am a Pilcher from the Tawa families but i have no family tree i know there was one done extensively by a Janice Wrigg but i just googled and she has past away. Have you seen a tree anywhere? The last family reunion i know of was approx 87.

Hi The 3 sisters Swain married 3 brothers Pilcher and there is a Pilcher book that you can get from Agean publishing ,i know this because i was a Pilcher and my Grandfather was a sibling of the above chhers
