Porter b 1759 Loyalist from England

Journal by dorfyjean

There is no way I can find my John Porter in England as there are hundreds of them.
He was born in 1759, sent to USA in 1772 was in Pa 1773. Was in the Queens American Regiment as a drummer then a hornblower when he was promoted down south in the Revolutionary War as a Loyalist.
when the war was over in Oct. 1783 he drown in the St. John River rafting from Saint John, New Brunswick towards Woodstock. His pregnant wife, Mary, married the hessian that was with them on the raft. John's son by Mary was born in April, 1784 in Canterbury, York co., NB.
I have the records for his service in the Queens Reg. from NY to down south and back again

He was NOT in Ct or married that Mary that lived there. He was only 14 when he was shipped from England to be a Loyalist for England to fight for the English!!!!

He is one of my 2 brick walls left in all of my genealogy. And I so want to complete the 2 families before I die. I am now 85 and have been searching and doing my genealogy for 70 years now.
