Re Banham Wales England Mary 1935 10 7 2011

Thank you these are all my ancestors.Am now searching for my aunt LILY BANHAM born 1897 my fathers sister.Also seeking any Jewish connections.

Hi traced LILY BANHAM 1901 census but cant find anything else.Did find a LILY H BANHAM who married a BROADHEAD in Yorkshire but not sure if it's the same LILY

Hi have also found a HANNAH GARWOOD born March 1798 Married ABRAHAM BANHAM 18th June 1817 Children ISAAC and JACOB 1819 and 1821.I do not have any further information.and cannot remember the source where I got this from.

Still searching for LILY H Banham Feel perhaps that she and her parents emigrated to either New Zealand or America .Cannot trace anything in the BDM of her parents or herself in England after 1901 Census.ParentsHUGH ISAAC BANHAM AND MARY BANHAM ( nee UTTERIDGE)Not sure next step.

Thank you its very hard to digest.My great grandfather obviously married twice .ISACK BANHAM married JANE ROBERTS first then MARY my great grandmother and they had five children .My grandfather was one of these the father of Lily .I remember my father speaking in one of his rare moments saying he had a sister who went to NZ but nothing else was said.So I suppose the next step is to try BDM NZ Regards

I feel there is a possibility that the Surname BANHAM could have originally been BAUMANN but it must have been before 1774.Could anyone help?

may I respecfully suggest you follow the latest male children for the descents and the oldest records for male children ( or their father's ) for ancestors . in a general flow line of research try BDM's in any country . to get base info especially surnames , to find the next generation forward or back use this formula - males + 22 yrs = +/- 5yrs / for women 20 -+/-

Thanks for your help I have gone back to ABRAHAM BANHAM 1817.
There appears to be a split in the family One side in Suffolk and the other side moving to Wales and then on to Birmingham where I was born.I would like to go back further .I am new to this and find it difficult .The Birmingham side of the family seem to have retained Jewish names which makes me think of a possible Jewish Connection.I would be grateful for any help.But not sure how to send you a private message.I am also living in NZ now.Regards

I have found some information that suggests that Hugh Isaac Banham either died or left his family prior to 1911.But I cannot find any record of his death.Have tried BDM etc without any results.

Hello had given up for a while but trying again .Would like some imformation on my Grandmother Mary Ann Banham (nee Utteridge)It appears that she was not with my grandfather Hugh Isaac Banham in the 1911 census .Their two children where not with her my father Arthur Hubert Banham was in the workhouse and his sister Lily H Banham was in St Josephs Training Home for servants Birmingham UK.
If anyone can help it might throw some light on what happened to Hugh Isaac Banham and Lily.Many thanks.
