I read your query . to find out what goes on I made up a ( false name and birthdate ) They were Karl Mueller - born 1820 I then went to
to --->family search.org <-- Poland . over two pages turned up . I then changed the name and dates, and the same happened again. It gives the districts as well as places . May I suggest you have a good map of the area you want ,put in your date and name and have ago . It could turn up something for you . If he was a Jew their is already a Danzig BDM site under Poland ancestry
