re RUTHERFURD

Journal by neich

The Masterton RUTHERFURD and the Carterton family of the same spelling are related, I do know descendants over in Australia. then one U married the other spelling to confuse you all.. RUTHERFORD.. When I notified my friend in OZ about another Rutherfurd, she had no idea that her one was related to the Masterton ones.. oh yes.. Charles Ferdinand Rutherfurd was the Carterton one, we cannot find when he died or where buried, but his wife, Harriet is buried at Clareville. When I let my friend know of the findings, she couldn't believe it.. does now, put them both in touch with each other...

thanks, I had thought he had gone back to Scotland but no one can find out anything, unless they enquired about his pension as he would have been one with the Army? I have quite a bit on the Parson family, they were also in Sussex.
