Till we meet again -Regards -edmondsallan
Hope you don't mind me popping my head up. Bristol is not in Somerset...it used to be in Avon and Somerset but now lies within Gloucester. This will probably make your research a bit easier.
Good luck with your research!

Hi edmondsallan.
I am sure the individual who posted the enquiry will be delighted by your comprehensive response.
But out of interest, why do you post your reply as a new journal rather than merely responding to the posting? (That is, in this box, as I am doing.)
Best wishes, Mowsehowse.
I have an official bar on me and I am only allowed to answer the comments on my own work . A long story . However I have found it extremely useful
(1) if I reply by journal ( which is the only way I can to assist someone ) I get points, not that that is my main object in being a member of this website .
( 2 ) The official Comment ban ( Which was a very fair decision ) not only controls my enthusiasm , but in reverse also gives me a very high degree of protection and control on who I wish to answer.
( 3 ) I also believe that their are others also officially Banned on commenting on my journals , which I believe was also a fair decision .
( 4 ) I noticed in one of your other queries , you mentioned the thank you's. Many are grateful and do thank each other. many many more don't . If you look at the number of journals and thank you's and replies you will see the character of the web site . the same goes in answering queries . Their just to many to answer sometimes 40 to 60 a day and so they go to the journals section etc . Scott Jango ( the owner )is trying to cure this very difficult problem .
( 5 ) Most ancestry work has all been found before . Its a matter of finding it again , as this subject has been in operation since Mankind began and before computers . Much of my work is copy an paste
from what ever source . As long as you put the source with the document you are doing and not claiming or implying its your own work , I believe ( and many around the world today do also even the official world International Genealogy society )that to day it is considered a tool to use . Many others do not believe this is correct .
And so from the past into future it will be disputed by many . IN general this disagreeance between ancestral people will go on forever
I have been a bit long in this comment ,about a couple of simple questions . I hope it assists . Their are a couple of things that are for real & positive in this Website . It is free . It is alive !!!
with disagreances , I am right you / you are wrong . I dont like you , I think your great // My work is the best // yours is crap . Stop hogging the board I can't get work on // you have only written a couple of journals in 1 year __ etc etc' etc' and so on . In comparison many other websites are just to dull to belong to . I just love being a member of this website . "IT REALLY IS ALIVE !!!!"
Its the best Kind regards
Enjoy.
What a shame I have to spend so much of my valuable time at work!!
One of the particular problems with this site is that I did not know you had made a reply to my comment, and it has taken me several minutes searching to find this exchange.
Best wishes.
