My research started with wanting to leave a Family Tree for my grandchildren. My son's (grandson, I raised him) line begins with Bowers from my family line and Nelson from my first husband's line.
My daughter-in-laws line starts with Bingle and Land.
john "britton" bowers of southampton, va, married lucretia land in rockingham, va, in the late 1700s. is this one of yours? if so, do you know anything about him? i'm looking at the english branch of bowerses in the rockingham/augusta co, va, region in the late 1700s. i'm wondering if britton is related. he appeared in orange co, nc, by the 1830s. thanks. rodney bowers
