I am new to genealogy research, am a member of ancestry.com and am interested in tracing my ancestry. I have made connections to my grandfathers grandfather but have not got past that point. My grandfather is Franklin Pierce Fawcett born 13 July 1879 in California, his father is James Madison Fawcett born about 1841 in Illinois, his father is Thomas Jefferson Fawcett, born about 1813 in Virginia and there I am stuck.
