Rollins of Wigan Lancashire
Hi, trying to trace my mums family Rollins back to my great grandfather . My grandfather Benjamin Rollin was a Green Grocer and a Methodist and thats about all i know. He was married to an Alice Rollins and they had five children, Ben, Elsie, Ellen, Alice ( my mum)and Margaret.

Your great Grandfather was Benjamin ROLLINS b: 1880 at Pemberton Lancashire the son of Tom Rollins or Rollinson 1860-1937and Ellen WALKER 1859-1927. He married Alice MELLING 1881-1976 in Wigan at St. Marks on the 25 February 1905.
The children of the marriage were:-
Thomas 'Tom' Rollins 1905 – 1906
Elsie ROLLINS 1908 – 1991 m. Arthur PARKES
Margaret Rollins 1913 – 1988 m. ? GEE
Alice Rollins 1921 – 2007 m. MONKS
Benjamin Rollins 1924 – 1982 m. WISE
and another female
Great grandfather Benjamin joined the army in 1915 and fought in France he was wounded on 3 July 1918 at Rouen, Haute-Normandie, France
The grocery store was at 335 Gathurst Rd., Upholland.
He died in Wigan, Lancashire in 1962.
