Samsing

I am posting this in admiration of my great-aunt hilda samsing and all the other nurses of ww1. so often they are forgotten when the wars are remembered. she was an amazing lady who right to the end of her life she was still visiting hospitals with ham sandwiches for the patients.i know shw has been written about in books, but this is a personal tribute to her. I,m sure there are other family of my generation who knew her much better than I did.what happened to her brother George/Gerhard I don,t know.but I know my grandparents were close to her.so yes I am proud to be able to say we are related. anne steel
