Sanders IN SC and GA

I am trying to find any information I can on my daddy's side of the family. I was born a Sanders and I cherish this name greatly. All I know is that what I'm told, that my ancestors arrived near Savannah, GA on coffin ships after the famine. My daddy was born Ronald Martin Sanders. My grandfather was Lonnie Martin Sanders. I don't know much else. Daddy said grandpa was a bootlegger and did his business between Savannah up to SC, around the Anderson/Clemson/Seneca area. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.
