Savage Whanau Connections Any Info Appreciated

I am currently researching my whakapapa, and being adopted as a baby has made it pretty difficult, but haere tonu! I come from the Savage whanau, however have been told that my Grandfather was a Warbrick and his father was adopted into the Savage whanau. I'm not sure whether my whakapapa is through Tūwharetoa lines. Also, my grandmother is Mere Kingi Brown, I think he connection is Ngāti Awa, but that is pretty much all I know.
