The problem is there were three or four Elizabeth Phelps chr. within 6 years in Seavington St.Mary. With no parents on the entries, how does one prove which is which? I am going by witnesses mainly at present.
It's a case of 'you have to be there' the parents 'signed' but when it came to transcribing these records the signatures were not always legible so they were not included. It's a case of going and looking at the record. Could be an expensive trip to see an X or a squiggle.

Thank you, I guess it is a bit far to go. OK if I was in England.
