Parents, we think were James Kavanagh and Bridget Dwyer.
Children included: James 1902, Bridget 1903, William 1905, John 1910, I believe there was in addition, Mary ? Joseph, 1915, who was my father.
I believe he was placed in the Artane school as his mother died and father unable to care for him and 1 0r 2 siblings. we think he was in the band until running away and joining the Royal Irish Fusiliers in NI and subsequently moving to England and marrying my mother Kate Murphy from Roscommon.
