I don't know about Civil War Draft Records. Would that be Samuel. Also, I believe he lived with the Stern family when he worked on the railroad. Probably as he was a widower and they could care for the boys while he worked. His son, Oliver was Oliver Cook Darling. Perhaps Cook was his wifes maiden name.
