Searching for the Lane Family

Hi,

I hope your research is going well. I am searching for the Lane family. I am descendant from them and live in Tasmania, Australia. I am trying to find out where the family originally came from as i have hit a brick wall on this.

My direct ancestor is William Lane who was born in 1830 i think and i think that he was born in England. He married Elizabeth Williamson Davis and had 2 sons, William Henry born 1860 in Tasmania and my direct relative Charles Joseph in 1866 in Tasmania.

Any information about William and his parents, any brothers and sisters etc would be greatly appreciated.
