Seeking Information on a John Copeland Born Queens County Ireland Abt 1810 OR 1815

John Copeland shows on his son Roberts marriage certificate as being a Police sergeant.

I can only assume that was in Eire, , Queens County. Could be Mountmellick.
He was born about 1810 1815, His son Robert Copeland born 1849 joined the RIC in 1867, was there for 5 1/2 years then worked for a JOHN before going to Lancashire where he met and married Charlotte Corbett in 1879. Their first child was Lucy Ann. On the Registration papers for joining the police, he named only his wife and child. No parents.
Robert Copelands mothers name is unknown. Or where they were married, who died when and where.
I HAVE SEARCHED but cannot find anything relevant to Robert.
