9th July 1870, The Cornwall Chronicle (Launceston, Tasmania)
IMMIGRATION — Name and description of immigrants expected to arrive from Germany in the Victoria, which vessel sailed from Hamburg for Hobart Town on the 20th April, 1870:—Johann Radfer and wife, farming man;Frederieke Radfer, age 20, good farm and house servant; August Radfer, ditto, age 17, farm servant; Wilhelm Radfer, son, age 15, farm servant; Wilhelmine Radfer, daughter, aged 13½, housemaid

Hi Steve74,
Thank you for your response. This is my family with August Radfer - actually Emilia Augusta Mathilde - my great grandmother - my mothers grandmother. She later travelled to Echuca (VIc) where she married my great grandfather George Everett when she was supposed to be 20yrs old. How or why she moved from Victoria from Tasmania I don't know - I only presume to work as she listed on her marriage certificate 'house maid'. Where she met George etc I do not know.
