Hi Tonyj, You have clearly done some groundwork to get back to William. I am assuming it is the same William Rowbotham of Henbury that I have been researching off and on for about the last 17 years, although I have his death as March 3rd 1772 aged 88 and buried at Prestbury. I have visited the family home of William in Henbury. Fortunately, following a message that I left on the Cheshire Family History website I was contacted by a guy who was researching the history of his house. My link to William is through son John's son William's son Thomas. Unfortunately I have not yet been able find a definitive link back from William. I have copies of the Will's for William, son John & grand son William as well as an original parchment legal document dated 1813 relating to when grandson William's brother John got tied up in a complicated mortgage in putting the family farm into hock to pay off money bequethed to family members by father John. If you wish I can be contacted at mikerowbotham@talktalk.net
