The beautiful Roll of Honour is displayed in the Hume Global Learning Centre near the Broadmeadows Station. I presume that each Township had its own memorial. The Broadmeadows Township was that part of today's Westmeadows south of Kenny St and its memorial was originally between the 1869 stone bridge and the Broadmeadows Hotel but was moved to the former site of the town's windmill (between Raleigh St and the creek) by Walter V.Murphy of Tullamarine because it was causing chaos as the rapidly increasing number of motorists going from Campbellfield and Tullamarine had to turn up the Ardlie St hill to gain access to Mickleham Rd.

The Shire Secretary, Albert Cook, wanted to ensure that the names of all residents who'd enlisted would be inscribed on the roll of honour.
