I want to thank all of you who have put information about the ELY family on this site. It gave me a head start on my grand chilrens paternal family. Since I have been able to connect THOMAS ELY,Sr to the states of Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Arizona and back to Tennessee. Have covered the ELY family through THOMAS ELY, ISAAC,ELLIAS, JAMES MADISON, JAMES ALVIS,Sr, JAMES ALVIS,JR, JAMES ALVIS,III and down to his children and grand children.
