- George served in WWI as Private #8/2766 with the Otago Infantry Battalion 6th Reinforcements. He enlisted from Palmerston, Otago and his father Henry was listed as Next Of Kin also from Palmerston. He embarked 14 Aug 1915 from Wellington
- George died on 24 April 1951 aged 66
- he is buried in Plot 22 V/3, Section Soldiers at Karori Wellington

1886 - 1950 Thomas Withey
- Thomas died on 27 April 1950 aged 63
- he was cremated at Karori Wellington

1895 - 1968 John Withey
- John served in WWI as Lance Corporal #11/1872 with the Wellington Mounted Rifles 7th Reinforcements. He embarked on 9 Oct 1915. His mother, Margaret Withey, was Next of Kin at 10 Milton Street, Wellington - he lived at 75 Russell St Dunedin and worked for the Harbour Board
- he died on 8 march 1968 aged 74
- his ashes were scattered on 12 March 1968

1897 - ? Archibald Charles Withey
- Archibald served as Private #39925 with the NZEF 22nd Reinforcements Wellington Infantry Regiment, B Company in WWI. He embarked from Wellington on 16 Feb 1917. His mother was then living in 10 Milton Street, Berhampore, Wellington
- he married Irene Gova JESSEP in 1920
- Irene was born in Sydney NSW
- Archibald died in Australia

1899 - 1966 Leonard Stanley Withey
- born in Taupo?
- in December 1917 Leonard embarked from Wellington on the HMNZT 99, Athenic with the NZEF 33rd Reinforcements Specialist Company as Private #64232, destination Glasgow, Scotland. His mother was then living in 10 Milton Street, Berhampore, Wellington
- in 1929 Leonard, a Joiner aged 30 was charged (with Robert HAZEL, a wharf labourer) with gambling at 154 Taranaki St Wellington, the premises of Wong WAI a fruiterer


Margaret Withey died on 27 September 1928 aged 78
- she is buried in Plot 52K - Section Ch Eng2 at Karori Wellington

I have some additional details for this family.

Margaret Hay married St Mary's Church, Palmerston.
The marriage was witnessed by William Bowman, Farmer and Mary Hay, spinster. Both were living in Palmerston at the time. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Alex Dasent. The couple made their Intent to Marry on the 24th March and at this time they both had been living in Palmerston for one month. As Margaret was a minor the consent to marry was given by Archibald Hay, who is stated as her father.

Parents: Archibald Hay and Elizabeth Charters
Siblings: William c1857 Ireland (no known descendants), Mary c1859 Ireland (married John Watson 13th November 1879), Esther Hewitt b 1867 Palmerston (married John Bone 25th May 1894)

Emma Withey married Robert Christie 3rd June 1904 Kent Terrace Manse, 25 Pirie St, Wellington
The marriage was witnessed by Minnie Watting of Dunedin and Albert Perry of Wellington. The ceremony was performed by J. Kennedy Elliott.

Elizabeth Withey married Charles Wilson Ridley 13th April 1903 Kent Terrace Manse, 25 Perie St, Wellington
The marriage was witnessed by Nellie Borlands and Frank Wallis, both of Wellington. The ceremony was performed by J. Kennedy Elliott.
Divorced 1917 and may have married James Kearsley in 1922. Possible death 1954.

Margaret Withey married Edwin Ernest Culliford 15th September 1909 The Manse, Pirie St, Wellington
The marriage was witnessed by George Taylor and Jean Withey, both ofWellington. The ceremony was conducted by J. Kennedy Elliott.
May have divorced and then married Herbert Mallinson in 1930.
