- there WAS a Frederick Hallmond in NZ and reference to some civl court cases (hire purchase) were found in the Evening Post. The Evening Post was a Wellington paper but reported from around NZ so difficult to say where he was
- eg: in August 1908 F. W. Hallmond was chared by Mrs O'Sullivan in Waitara Court (Taranaki) for £4 (equivalent to $600 in 2010) and again in March 1908 charge by F. Ahier for £16 ($2400 in 2010)
- eg: in 1913 a F. J. Hallmond was a bankrupt farmer when he appeared in the Auckland Court, again for hire purchase problems
- eg: in Feb 1927 F. Hallmond was charged by Chappell & Co Ltd for £15 (equivalent in 2010 to $1300) and in Oct 1927 F. Hallmond was charged by Commercial Agency & His Masters Voice (NZ) Ltd for £44 (equivalent in 2010 to $3,800) but does not say which town
Mary was possibly married to a Callery
She arrived in New Zealand with a number of children named Callery and then in 1889 married Alfred? Hallmond (see the time line below)
In 1893, at the time Julia was born, they were in Pahiatua
In 1916, when Philip went to war, they were in Dargaville

- he went to war with the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, 7th Reinforcements 1st Battalion, E Company, embarking from Wellington on 27 May 1916
- he was KILLED IN ACTION on 1 Octobr 116 at Soome Fance aged 22

- Miriam died in 1974 aged 77
1899 - Sylvester James Hallmond
- born on 21 January 1899
- he married May Elizabeth Daisy KUHNE (1906-1982) in 1923
- May's parents were Charles KUHNE (1845-1906) & Mary Phoebe Maria POCKINGTON (1876-1952)
- they had 5 sons
- Sylvester died in 1974 aged 75
- May died on 24 July 1982 in Whangarei, buried Mt Wesley Dargaville
1900 - Rose Victoria Hallmond
- Rose died not marry
- she died in 1936 aged 36

1897 - Feb 16, in Eketahuna a M. Hallmond bought Section 6, Block I, Tararua, 5 acres at 1s (an acre) at auction
1903 - May 2, Alfred Hallmond, Platelayer, Marton, New Zealand, would be glad to hear from his sister, who he has not seen since he was nine years of age. He was adopted by a lady named Mrs Julia Brampton and was brought to New Zealand from Victoria about thirty-five years ago. Should this meet his sister's eye she will please write to the above note In his private deposition (1904), H. F. Hallmond says he was from Marton

1906 - April 9, in Lyttelton, Christchurch an Axel Hallmond was fined in court for having used obscene language in a public place and was convicted and discharged on a charge of drunkenness
1907 - March 20, At the NEW PYMOUTH Supreme Court, William Alfred Hallmond, a lad of 16, was found guilty of theft and horse stealing and admitted to probation or 12 months
