Bumped up for newbie request. These names are in my husband's family tree although they are not his ancestors.

Hi I could probably help you out quite a bit with this since they de Malmanche and Lelievre families are direct descendants.

If you have any questions you can contact me on here.

Cheers
Andrea

Hi "allycat" i could help you to as i am a descendant of Charled deMalmanche on my maternal side. Does the Harris name come from a Bernard and Grace Harris? Grace (nee Prime) and my mother Josephine (Jo) were sisters.
Cheers, Judy

Hi Judy. I cannot access my family tree at the moment as I upgraded to Windows7 and am having technical problems with it. However if you search through my HARRIS journals 'here' you might see a connection. I don't recall a Bernard & Grace Harris though.

hi allycat,
you have on your tree:
Harris, Bernard Orsman
b. 23 Jan 1902
Wanganui, Taranaki, North Island, New Zealand
d. 1978
Auckland, New Zealand
m. Prime, Frances Gracie Eileen (1905-1980) 1923 New Zealand

for France's parents you have:
Prime, Alfred Edward (1869-1957)
m. in 1897 t de Malmanche, Charlotte Roseannah (1877-1962)
and under Charlotte Roseannah de Malmanche you have: (if I may share)
About de Malmanche, Charlotte Roseannah
BIRTH:
DEATH: 1962/23347 Prime Charlotte Roseanna 85Y
The information I have from the de Malmanche reunion booklet titled: The de Malmanche Family in NZ 1840 - 1990 has
Charles Joseph Maria de Malmanche:
Born 19.10.1840
Died 2.1.1927
Married Frances Jane Taylor (Keef) or (Keefe) 8.10.1873
Born 1849 in Britain
Died 5.7.1922 in Levin
My brother Graham has Charles' wife recorded as Frances Jane Ward:
also born 1849 Birmingham
Died 6.7.? Levin.
My guess is that Frances may have been married once or twice before meeting Charles.
My brief research into the Keef family while over at Akaroa, is that they descend from Ngai Tahu, living close by Akaroa at a small village called Onuku.
My great grandmother Charlotte Rosanna Prime (de Malmanche) apparently was very pretty when young and had very olive skin and some would say had Maori like features although nothing was ever mentioned.

I have a photo of Charlotte dressed as a Maori and will put it up if like.
So Charlotte was your gg/mother, are you from Rene, Grace, Ivy side?

Am hoping a Ray Harris reads this as the email address he sent me does not work
