The House of Schreiner

I am researching the name of SCHREINER. I do know that the family of George Michael SCHREINER, more commonly referred to as Michael SCHREIN ER, came to the US via New Orleans in 1856. I believe that all of the family stayed in New Orleans through the Civil War. Eventually, all of the family moved to Bureau County Illinois, and later, they all moved to Otoe County Nebraska.

I would like to find the name of the Ship on which they arrived at New Orleans. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, Regarding finding the ship look up ancestors name under ship passage logs. I found my grandfather and others via ancestry dot com. I was able to see the ship's log of the names and even how much baggage they brought. Sometimes hard to read old hand writing styles. Also name spelling is sometimes incorrect. Female first names are often not noted. Hope this helps! Good luck!
