The Whittaker Tree
Trying to find some clues toward putting our family tree together. We are descended from Joseph Whittaker/Obedience Perdue, who settled in Wythe County Virginia. Early family scattered throughout southwest Virginia, but now, Who Knows?
Little late with this but what do you want to know? I've researched this line for years.
my maiden name is whittaker. I come from Fife in Scotland. My great grandfather, john Whittaker, I think came up to Scotland from England. I am trying to trace him. I have ordered documents from the Scottish registry hoping to identify his place of birth in England.

I have Joseph's father as Charles Whittaker and mother as Rosy Ann Judah, and Charles' father as William Whittaker and mother as Elizabeth (unknown). I don't have any information on Obedience's family. I would love more information, if you have it.
