Thomas Herbert Dodd Taita New Zealand

There is a Thomas Herbert Dodd buried alone (as the only Dodd in the cemetery) in plot 74 of the Christ Church Taita Cemetery, New Zealand.

Very few Dodds in New Zealand back in the 19th century.
I would like to know if he was the son of Moses Dodd born 1780 in Berkshire, England who married Elizabeth Newton and had 10 children of which 2, or possibly 3, sons emigrated to New Zealand
(not known at this time which ship),
they were:
William Henry Dodd b.1818
Thomas Dodd b.1824
Richard Newton Dodd b.1829

OR was he the Thomas Dodd that maried Clara Helen Culleton as in allycat's journal on this site
