Tidwell of Lanett Chambers County Alabama

JAMES L. TIDWELL was my paternal great-grandfather. The story goes that his family moved to Alabama in the 1800's from Texas. I believe they had farms in Texas, and perhaps moved to Alabama when he was young. I have a photo of him, and his wife, Mittie Jane Scott, and their boys. My grandfather was a baby sitting on Mittie Jane's lap in the picture. The boys were all barefoot. Some of them had curly hair. They all looked white with dark hair. I would like to know more about both sides of this family.
