Most Tileys originate from the West Country and a family web site chronicles these comprehensively.

However there is a gap in that there is great uncertainty in identifying the branch(es) that migrated to London in the 18th century and as a consequence there is also difficulty in linking various London Tileys together although it seems probable that some are related (proximity of the families, common names etc).
