There is a story that my grandfather came across a young girl who had just left an orphanage and was looking in a shop window at food, so he took her home to his boarding house where she was looked after. Not sure where to go from here to find more information. Any suggestions/help please.

Thankyou for your quick response. Yes I have the 1902 birth certificate. States Mary's age as 20 but the address is very hard to read. I think it is Barnard St Bendigo. There are 3 words before this the main one underlined second one unreadable and I think the 3rd one is Asylum. Can I upload a photo of the cert to this site for others to see and comment on.
