Trying to locate HELEN FERRIS, possibly an Australian, known to be researching SAMUEL HOSKEN, in 2004

Article by KentCob

In 2010 I started researching SAMUEL HOSKEN and his immediate family, and discovered that HELEN FERRIS had been doing the same a few years earlier. The information she posted on ancestry.com was almost identical to that which I had discovered in family documents, and was sufficient to confirm that we are both great, great grandchildren of Samuel Hosken. Her posting contained an email address, to which I sent a message, subsequently returned as "User unknown". If anyone can help me to trace Helen, I shall be eternally grateful! Likewise, I would like to know if anyone can send me information about Samuel and Elizabeth Hosken, and their parents and children, known to have been living in London and Rotterdam for most of their married life, during the 1800's. They had anything from 10 (known) to 18 (estimated) children, many of whom emigrated (particularly the males) to South Africa or Australia - hence the possible interest of Helen. The descendents of another branch now live in California USA, one of whom can confirm some of the same family information.
