Hi Lucas,
Back in 1977 there was a chap by the name of Melcom Silcock, who came from the West Coast of the South Island.
He was from the Westport area I believe.
He left Opotiki because his sister had be shot by her boy friend at that time.
I never heard of him again as I believe he had to take up the rains from where his sister had left off.
