Looking for the birthplace and maiden name of Mary Pearl Underwood ...wife of Joseph Freeman Underwood, who was the son of Freeman Edwin Underwood. Mary Pearl Underwood states her birthplace as Kansas in 1879 or 1880. In some documents, Mary Pearl states that her mother Roxy-Roxanna-Roxanne....was born in Indiana. Roxy's parents both died within two weeks of each other...possibly during the winter....dates unknown. Mary Pearl Underwood would be my great grandmother, and Roxy my great great grandmother.
